Squint
Squint, or misalignment of the eyes (strabismus), is more than just a cosmetic concern—it can lead to significant visual impairment and psychosocial distress, affecting both the patient and their family. In children, whose visual systems are still developing, untreated strabismus can result in amblyopia (lazy eye) and even permanent vision loss.
Beyond impaired vision, strabismus may cause altered field of vision, diplopia (double vision), abnormal head posture, headaches and eye strain (asthenopia), difficulty in depth perception, impacting sports performance and daily activities and increased risk of falls and musculoskeletal injuries due to poor binocular vision. We provide a comprehensive evaluation and personalized treatment plan for every strabismus patient. Our services include:
- Vision therapy using patching and eye exercises
- Prescription of special glasses with prisms to correct alignment
- Surgical correction of squint, when indicated
Our goal is to not only restore proper eye alignment and improve vision but also enhance the patient’s confidence, comfort, and overall quality of life.
